Is this any way to welcome the World's Greatest Detective?") starring David Niven, Robert Wagner, Herbert Lom, Joanna Lumley, Capucine, Robert Loggia, Harvey Korman, Burt Kwouk, Ted Wass (billed as "introducing Ted Wass"), and Roger Moore. Note that this was Niven's last film. He knew he was dying from Lou Gehrig's Disease. Blake Edwards realized while watching the rushes that Niven was finding it very difficult to say his lines intelligibly due to the nature of the illness. In consideration of his feelings, Edwards said nothing, but when the film was released, the voice had been dubbed by mimic Rich Little. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
