The Murder Man, the 1935 Tim Whelan romantic newspaper reporter journalism murder crime thriller (about a reporter who gets a reputation for solving murders before the police, and then his wife is murdered, and he knows who did it before the police do, and he plans on killing the killers; "Before the police - before the district attorney - he know the answer to every crime!") starring Spencer Tracy, Virginia Bruce, Lionel Atwill, Harvey Stephens, Robert Barrat, and James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; in his very first credited role!). Note that this was the first movie Spencer Tracy made for MGM after having worked for Fox, and he remained one of their very top stars for the next 20 years!
