An Original Vintage Stage Play Sheet Music (measures 10 1/2" x 13 3/4" [27 x 35 cm]; 6 pages) (Learn More)

Home Again, the 1914 - 1918 stage play musical comedy ("Words by Leonard Marx"; "Music by Leonard Marx & Lem Trombley"; "Successfully introduced by the famous Marx Brothers") starring The Marx Brothers (billed as "The Famous Marx Brothers"; Groucho, Harpo, Chico, and Zeppo). Note that "Leonard Marx" was Chico Marx, and this is the only item we have auctioned where he is billed that way! He acquired the name "Chicko" in 1915 (supposedly because he was always chasing girls!), and it was soon changed to Chico, but obviously not at the time this sheet music was published (or he wanted to be formal in his credit). This is surely one of the most rare pieces of Marx Bros. memorabilia!
Artist: E. Pfeiffer
Important Added Info: Note that this sheet music is for the song "Under the Summer Moon".

Condition: good. There is a 1" x 3" area of paper loss in teh top left of the back cover, which slightly affects some printing and only affects blank white paper on the inside back cover. The interior page and the cover have a tear the same size as the missing paper, but they have been repaired with tape. The sheet music is also rippled in several areas. Obviously, this wonderful sheet music has clear defects, but it can certainly be framed and displayed as it is.
