The theme of the fair was "Peace Through Understanding", dedicated to "Man's Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe". The theme was symbolized by the building of a 12-story high, stainless-steel model of the earth called the Unisphere. Industrial exhibitors played a major role by hosting huge, elaborate exhibits such as General Motors' Futurama, a show in which visitors seated in moving chairs glided past elaborately detailed miniature model scenery showing what life might be like in the "near-future". Important Added Info: Note that this comic was first printed in 1964 when the fair opened. There was another printing in 1964, and then a third printing in 1965, the second year of the fair, and the date was changed on the cover.
