An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) State Street Sadie, the 1928 Archie Mayo Chicago Illinois talking gangster crime romantic mistaken identity melodrama ("Based on the story by Melville Crosman"; about a man whose twin brother is falsely accused of killing a police officer, and his brother dies, but he is mistaken for his dead brother, and the police are after him, while he is after the real killer, an underworld kingpin known as both "The Bat" and "The Chief", and he is helped by the daughter of the slain policeman, played by beautiful young Myrna Loy) starring Conrad Nagel, Myrna Loy (in the title role as Sadie), William Russell, George Stone, and Pat Hartigan. Note that this was Myrna Loy's first "talking" movie. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair. There is significant water staining in the bottom image and some in the rest of the card, along with smudges. Someone put a piece of tape on the back of a 1 1/2" tear near the center of the left border, but otherwise left the card as is.
