An Original Vintage Unfolded Plastic Litho Sheet (measures 35 1/2" x 55 3/4" [90 x 141 cm]) (Learn More) E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, the classic 1982 Steven Spielberg (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) science fiction (sci-fi) alien family fantasy melodrama ("His Adventure on Earth"; "He is afraid. He is totally alone. He is 3,000,000 light years from home."; "Written by Melissa Mathison"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote, Henry Thomas ("as Elliott"), Drew Barrymore (in her second movie role!), and Robert MacNaughton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: John Alvin Important Added Info: Note that this is a VERY unusual item! For this movie, Universal made an incredibly elaborate lightbox standee that theaters could buy and assemble and stand up in their lobby (and including the frame, it measured over 3 1/2' x 5', so it was surely very impressive in person. WHAT IS OFFERED HERE IS THE "PLASTIC LITHO SHEET" FROM THE STANDEE, and NOT the entire standee. We have seen images of the entire lightbox standee, and this poster (printed on a plastic material, and called "plastic litho sheet" in the instructions for assembling it) was designed to be attached to the front of the lightbox after it was assembled. Obviously someone who had a theater that used this discarded the rest of the lightbox after they displayed, but kept this plastic litho sheet. We imagine that the new owner could make a replica of the original lightbox and display this that way, or of course they could simply display it as it is. Either way, the new owner will have an incredibly rare E.T. poster (we know of an example of the complete lightbox, but no others). Finally, note that because this was created on a plastic material it can't be combined with other posters and must be sent in a tube by itself. Condition: good to very good. There are circular holes around the edges of this that were put there so that this could be attached to the lightbox with the enclosed hardware. The right side of the poster has some perforations at the edges of the holes and some small areas of plastic loss and small breaks in the edge of the plastic and just a tiny bit on the left side of the plastic. There are a few creases scattered in the image of the plastic. Learn More about condition grades
