An Original Vintage Autographed Souvenir Photo Folder (measures 9 1/2" x 11 1/2" [24 x 29 cm]) (Learn More) Leo Carrillo was an actor from 1920s to the 1950s. He is best remembered for his role as Pancho in TV's "The Cisco Kid", and he seemed like a semi-literate Hispanic actor, but that was far from the truth! He was born in California and he came from a distinguished family there, and his father was the first mayor of Santa Monica! He was an educated man, and in his 30s, he started acting on the stage, with much success. After he starred in the play "Mister Antonio", Hollywood decided to make a film version, and they brought him over to play the lead in 1929, and it was his first feature! Some of his other movies include: History is Made at Night, Parachute Jumper, Manhattan Melodrama, Ghost Catchers, and many more! He passed away in 1961 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this souvenir photo folder has been personally autographed (signed) by Leo Carrillo! It came from the San Diego nightclub, Sherman's Dine & Dance. Director H. Bruce "Lucky" Humberstone was there with Leo Carrillo, and they had their picture taken by people walking around the club, and then it was put into a folder. The folder has a blank "autograph page" facing the page to insert the photo, and in this case, Leo Carrillo, when he saw the photo, and saw how Humberstone appeared, he wrote an inscription that said "You looked in the camera you rat! Poor direction! Leo Carrillo"! Note that eMoviePoster.com recently auctioned a wonderful archive of original stills that were owned by director H. Bruce "Lucky" Humberstone. In that archive was this folder with the Leo Carrillo autograph, so we are auctioning it now, in this auction. Obviously, famous stars would write their own inscription to someone who directed them, so there is no doubt this is an authentic signature! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
