King Lear, the 1987 Jean-Luc Godard post-apocalyptic science fiction (sci-fi) melodrama (very loosely based on the play by William Shakespeare; about a world rebuilding after a nuclear disaster, and how one man named William Shakespeare Jr. the Fifth is trying to restore his ancestors' now-lost works) starring Peter Sellars (as William Shakespeare Jr. The Fifth), Burgess Meredith, Molly Ringwald, and includes many uncredited cameo appearances by famous movie people such as Woody Allen (as Mr. Alien), and even director Jean-Luc Godard himself (as The Professor)!
