Somerset Maugham"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about a dashing young man who breaks off his engagement and goes off to travel the world and "find himself", and he returns ten years later and his former fiancee wants to win him back, even though she is married to another man) starring Tyrone Power Jr., Gene Tierney, John Payne, Anne Baxter (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Clifton Webb (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Herbert Marshall (as W. Somerset Maugham), Fritz Kortner, and Cecil Humphries (as the Holy Man) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster has a Y-shaped tear in the background above Tierney's head. It has a U-shaped tear below the "O" of "POWER" in the top credits, and another one below the "N" of "TIERNEY". It has small paper loss at the crossfolds and a T-shaped tear in the top of the lower credits area. It had a 5" tear in the left of the top border that was repaired with tape from the back, and it had several razor cuts in the left of the title that were repaired with paper tape. There was paper loss in the bottom left corner that has a piece of paper glued to the back of it, and a few other paper tape repairs on the back. In spite of these many relatively minor defects, the poster displays pretty well, and after a simple linenbacking, it will look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
