The Michigan Kid, the 1928 Irvin Willat silent Alaska romantic gambling adventure (based on the story "by Rex Beach"; about a man from Michigan who goes to Alaska to make a fortune gold mining, but he ends up running a saloon and becoming a professional gambler called "The Michigan Kid" because of where he is from; his name gets smeared by "a man from the east", but he manages to clear himself and win back the love of his childhood sweetheart) starring Conrad Nagel (in the title role as the Michigan Kid), Renee Adoree, Fred Esmelton, Virginia Grey, and Maurice Murphy
