Strayer horror murder mystery thriller ("Do human vampires really exist?"; set in an unnamed European country, about a mad scientist who needs living human tissue to conduct his wacky experiments, and he makes it look like vampires are killing the people who he has killed by leaving puncture marks on their necks and draining their blood) starring Lionel Atwill, Fay Wray, Melvyn Douglas, Maude Eburne, George E. Important Added Info: Note that original poster material from this very early vampire movie has always been extremely rare! However (likely because it is from it is from Majestic Pictures, and NOT from Universal), the posters sell for only a small fraction of the prices of Universal horror posters from the same time period! In all our years of auctioning, we have only previously sold three inserts and two one-sheets on this movie, and no other posters, until we were consigned this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was used in Denmark and it has a Danish censor stamp in the top right bat wing. It also had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the folds. It had tape on the front of each corner, which was roughly removed, causing surface paper loss extending into the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer did a nice job of repairing the corners of the image, but they left alone the Danish stamp (although any restorer could easily paint that out, since it is solely in the solid colored area.
