Babe Didrikson Zaharias was an Olympic athlete and professional golfer from the 1930s to the 1950s. She won two gold medals in track and field at the 1932 Olympics, and joined the LPGA Tour in 1950 when it first started. She went on to win a total of 10 golf championships! She passed away in 1956 at the age of 45 from colon cancer (she continued to play until she died, even with a colostomy bag!).
