Wells' The War of the Worlds, the classic 1953 Byron Haskin science fiction (sci-fi) Martian extraterrestrial alien invasion action thriller ("From the ends of the universe... they are reaching for YOU!"; produced by George Pal; loosely based on the classic novel by H.G. Wells; about seemingly unstoppable aliens invading the Earth) starring Gene Barry, Ann Robinson, Les Tremayne, Robert Cornthwaite, Lewis Martin, and Ann Codee NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that it has been 11 years since we have auctioned a complete set of lobby cards for this movie! Condition: good to very good. Card #1 has paper loss at center and someone attempted to fill that area in with a hand from another lobby card (in the man's hand to the upper right of Barry - see our image). There are pinholes scattered in various areas and they are repaired with tape from the back. There is slight discoloration at lower left. Card #3 has some pinholes around the edges and some scuffs at lower right. Card #5 has printing on the back and four diagonal slits cut into the card, where an 8x10 still was once held in place with tape from the front (see our image). Card #8 has paper loss at upper right, a diagonal scuff at center, and some pinholes around the edges. The other cards are in pretty nice condition.
