A 1948 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Lucky Ghost, the 1942 William X. Crowley black African American gambling horror comedy thriller ("You Can Bet Your Bottom Dollar It's Thrilling - Exciting - Funny!"; "Thrills! Chills! A Thriller-Diller laff sensation!"; "With an All Star Colored Cast!") starring Mantan Moreland, F.E. Miller (Flourney E. Miller), Florence O'Brien, Monty Hawley, and Maceo Bruce Scheffield. Note that Flourney Miller was a major figure in black Broadway musical history, performing and writing with his partner Aubrey Lyles. After Lyles passed away in 1933, Miller appeared in a number of all-black movies in the 1930s and 1940s.

Important Added Info: Note that Toddy Pictures acquired the rights to this 1941 Dixie Nat'l Film Exchange movie, and re-released it in 1948. Because the Toddy Pictures posters are not marked as being a re-issue in any way, they are often mistakenly sold as originals, but they are in fact from the 1948 re-release!

Condition: very good to fine. The poster had separation and tiny paper loss in the left half of the horizontal folds and a lesser amount of wear on the other foldlines, and the most minor of border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
