Date Sold 11/27/2022 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 14 1970s issues of Cinefantastique. Note that this includes the rare Cinefantastique guide to their first decade! Of course, Cinefantastique is the horror, fantasy, and science fiction (sci-fi) film magazine published by science fiction writer Frederick S. Clarke (there had earlier been a mimeographed fanzine by that name in 1967). It was totally different from its main competitors, Famous Monsters of Filmland and The Monster Times because it was printed on slick paper and it had more intelligently written articles! A few of the first issues had no color, even on the covers, but Clarke quickly realized he needed color, and it was added soon after. There were very few ads, so each issue had FAR more actual content than similar magazines of that era (and it had many professional images illustrating each article). It was personally published by Mr. Clarke until his passing in 2000. It continued under different publishers, with name changes. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Measurements: 9" x 11"Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of each magazine, but no other images. Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided. Condition: very good. Please note that we briefly attempted to check to see if the magazines are complete and uncut, and we believe that they are. However, there is a slight possibility that we might have missed a small cut or a page that was neatly removed, and if that happens, you can return the magazines. We have solely provided an overall description of the condition of the magazine, but you can also refer to our super-sized images of the covers.
