James Ivory's Shakespeare-Wallah, the 1965 James Ivory India family relationship theater stage acting melodrama ("The delightful drama of the travels of an English Shakespeare troupe in present-day India, which won sensational acclaim at the Berlin and London Film Festivals."; written by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala and James Ivory; produced by Ismail Merchant) starring Shashi Kapoor, Felicity Kendal, Geoffrey Kendal, Laura Liddell, and Madhur Jaffrey. Note that this was the third movie from the team of Merchant/Ivory/Jhabvala, but it was the first one that brought them worldwide acclaim!
