Berliet was a French manufacturer of automobiles, buses, trucks and military vehicles which was based in Venissieux, France. Founded in 1899 by Marius Berliet, it was in private ownership until 1967 when it then became part of Citroen. Several mergers later, the Berliet marque was phased out (some time before 1980).

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some pinholes, tears, and small paper loss around the edges, with 16" semi-circular paper loss in the right of the bottom border, affecting the bottom of the image in that area. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was really nicely backed, and the above defects are barely noticeable, but bear in mind the restoration this poster has had before bidding on it.
