An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Typhoon, the 1940 Louis King South Seas tropical island storm romantic adventure thriller ("Based on a Story by Steve Fisher"; about a young girl whose father is killed at sea by a typhoon, and she ends up on a South Seas island alone, and she grows to be an independent young woman, but she meets rough men looking for pearls, and that is just the start of the story!) starring Dorothy Lamour, Robert Preston, Lynne Overman, J. Carrol Naish, and Chief Thundercloud NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and black tape, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the black tape or the edges of the slide well. Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. The slide is in nice condition!
