An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release Theatrical Unfolded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) The Desperate Hours, the 1955 William Wyler crime hostage thriller ("Adapted from the novel and play by Joseph Hayes"; based on a real-life story of a family taken hostage in their own home by escaped convicts; the person whose life this was based on sued for invasion of privacy, but he was ruled a "public figure" by the Supreme Court, and this was the first such case, and now means that public figures have no ability to restrict invasion into their privacy!) starring Humphrey Bogart, Fredric March, Arthur Kennedy, Martha Scott, Dewey Martin, Gig Young, Mary Murphy, and Richard Eyer. An interesting piece of trivia is that the lawyer who defended the real life family in the Supreme Court case to try to preserve their right to privacy was Richard Nixon, later President of the United States! Someone many years ago had the poster backed on to an extremely thin paperbacking, and then they mostly left the poster as it is. The poster can be displayed as it is, but it would be far preferable to have it professionally linenbacked. The poster can't be folded, so it needs to be sent in a tube that measures approximately 41" wide, so bear all of this in mind and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid.
