Bezzerides - Based on his novel 'Thieves' Market'"; about a veteran who returns from the war and his truck driving father has been maimed, and he becomes a truck driver himself to find the people responsible) starring Richard Conte, Valentina Cortese (billed as "Valentina Cortesa"), Lee J. Cobb, Barbara Lawrence, Jack Oakie, Millard Mitchell, Joseph Pevney, Morris Carnovsky, Tamara Shayne, Kasia Orzazewski, Norbert Schiller, and Hope Emerson. Note director Jules Dassin had started by making patriotic anti-Nazi movies during World War II, and after the war, he would make some great film noirs, and then he made his greatest movie, "Du rififi chez les hommes", in 1955, "Never on Sunday" in 1960, and "Topkapi" in 1962. There is paper loss in the lower left corner and there is writing and a stamp in the right of the bottom edge of the card, indicating this 1949 first release card was re-used for the 1955 re-release.
