An Original Vintage German Film Program (measures 7 1/4" x 10 1/2" [18 x 27 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Jazz, Tanz, und Rhythmus (Jazz, Dance, and Rhythm), the 1956 German Paris France jazz music festival movie starring Dixie Stompers (from Belgium), Fatty George's Band (from Osterreich), Bill Coleman & Benny Waters (from the U.S.A.), Humphrey Lyttelton & Beryl Brydon (from England), Down Town Jazz-Band (from Holland), Armand Gordon & Dixie Jazz Pals (from Frankreich), Two Beat Stompers and Feetwarmers (from Deutschland), New Orleans Jam Session, plus a total of 160 musical performers! The above billing is taken from the German poster for this documentary, but oddly, the German program for the same documentary has completely different billing order, with Armand Gordon first, Xavier Cugat with Abbe Lane second, followed by Bill Colemann, Benny Waters, Humphrey Lyttelton, Beryl Breyden, and Maxim Saury! We have no idea why the two German items would present the film so differently, although the poster seems to be focused on it from having acts from all over the world, while the German program does not, and instead focuses much more on the black performers. It seems that this was a documentary about this French music festival that was only released in Germany. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" item for this German movie! Also note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended).
