Frank Bolle was a comic artist and illustrator, best known as the longtime artist of the newspaper strips Winnie Winkle and The Heart of Juliet Jones, and as an illustrator for Boys' Life magazine for 18 years. With an unknown writer, he co-created the masked, Old West comic-book heroine the Black Phantom. Bolle passed away in 2020 at the age of 95
Artist: Frank Bolle
Important Added Info: Note that this artwork by Frank Bolle is page 11 from United States Marines #8, a comic book published in 1952. This was during the Korean War, which helps explain the graphic nature of the comic and the virulent anti-Korean sentiment shown.

Note that we have pictured both covers and some interior page of this comic, which means that you can hopefully see most defects the comic has, AND get a good sense of its condition. While we gave the comic an overall condition grade (and sometimes describe the defects in words) please rely on the actual images of the comic we provide here to help you decide what YOU think its condition is, and then bid or not bid based on what you are seeing in the images. And if you have ANY doubt as to what the condition of the comic is, or whether you want it in the condition it is is, then please do not bid, as we do not want any retracted bids or returns if at all possible. If in doubt, do not bid!.

Condition: very good to fine. The art is in nice condition!
