Carrol Naish. Also note that this is one of 50 "Mickey McGuire" shorts that Mickey Rooney starred in between 1927 and 1933 (he started when he was only six years old!). After 1933, he had a brief "lull" in his career, but he soon resurfaced as a top teen actor, and it was not long before he moved to the top of the box office in his roles in MGM movies, both in the Andy Hardy series, and in musicals with Judy Garland. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had a slightly diagonal tear across the entire poster, running through the letters of "BIG" in the title and through the forehead of the man at right (there were only a few tiny bits of paper loss on that tear). It also had tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds and small paper loss at the bottom crossfold. It had tears and tiny paper loss in the left half of the bottom horizontal fold and in the bottom quarter of the vertical foldline, with a few scattered tears on the other folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. From close up, you can see the above defects, but from any reasonable viewing distance, they are really not noticeable at all. Learn More about condition grades
