Howard & Sam Wood World War I (WWI) spy espionage code-breaking romantic love triangle comedy ("3,000 men sentenced to death by a woman's beauty!"; "Every merry moment packed with thrills!"; about a soldier in World War I who is an expert in breaking codes, so he is assigned to the intelligence department, where he falls in love with the beautiful young niece of the commander, and he also gets entangled with a beautiful Russian spy!) starring William Powell, Rosalind Russell ("introducing his new screen sweetheart, ...gorgeous Rosalind Russell!"), Binnie Barnes, Lionel Atwill, Cesar Romero, Samuel S. Hinds, and Henry Stephenson. Note that this was Rosalind Russell's second year of making movies, and she had appeared in minor roles in quite a few, but this was a much better role for her!
