An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Boomerang, the 1947 Elia Kazan crime film noir mistaken identity murder thriller ("It comes back at you again and again!"; "20th Century-Fox Sensation"; "Based upon an article by Anthony Abbot, published in the Reader's Digest"; produced by Darryl F. Zanuck; based on a true story of a priest being murdered in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1924; the police located a drifter nearby, and there was a rush to judgment to convict him of the crime, even though there was a lack of evidence connecting him to the murder; fortunately, a young lawyer in the District Attorney's office becomes convinced of the drifter's innocence, and sets out to prove it; to heighten the realism of the movie, director Elia Kazan gave it a semi-documentary look) starring Dana Andrews, Jane Wyatt, Lee J.
