An Original Vintage 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Television Still (Learn More) The Twilight Zone, the 1959 - 1964 Rod Serling CBS surreal bizarre science fiction (sci-fi) supernatural fantasy thriller television (TV) series narrated by Rod Serling and featuring an ever changing cast (different people in every episode, but a few people played parts in more than one episode) including Jack Klugman, Burgess Meredith, William Shatner, and many, many others. Note that this series got its start when Rod Serling wrote an episode of Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse in 1958 called "The Time Element". It was introduced by Desi Arnaz, who explained the fantasy element of the story and returned at the end to tell you what you had seen! A year later, The Twilight Zone aired for the first time. The show was very controversial, because Rod Serling added a great deal of social commentary to his scripts, but over time, this series has come to be regarded as one of the finest TV series ever, and decades ahead of its time. Important Added Info: Note that this great candid still (which shows Rod Serling posing with the wax figures for a publicity shot) is from the first showing of the 4/4/63 episode of "The Twilight Zone" (called The New Exhibit). We know that for certain because it has the date printed on the snipe on the back. It is very hard to find stills from 1950s or 1960s TV episodes that are absolutely from the first release, and are surely not from a 1960s or 1970s re-broadcast. Also note that this TV still measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
