An Unfolded Advertising Poster (measures 29 3/4" x 45" [76 x 114 cm]) (Learn More) Booth's Gin is an English alcoholic beverage from the 1740s to the present. The company was founded by a Lincolnshire branch of the ancient Booth family in about 1740. Known as the "gentleman's gin", it was reputedly a favorite of both Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother. The company ceased production in 2017 and was sold to the Sazerac Company, who recommenced production of Booth's Finest Old Dry Gin in 2022. Artist: Seymour Chwast Important Added Info: Note that this poster was designed by Seymour Chwast around 1964, and was featured in the background of a famous photo of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez by Daniel Kramer. We have never auctioned this poster in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It is mostly in pretty nice condition, but there is some faint water staining along portions of the lower edge (mostly in blank paper - see our image). There are a few light creases scattered in various areas. It could be displays just as is, or after some proper restoration the poster would look great! Learn More about condition grades
