Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 30") (Learn More)

20th Century-Fox, the 1950s Australian stock poster for theaters showing 20th Century Fox Pictures films. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area for the title of the film being shown. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Important Added Info: Note that this is some sort of unusual stock poster. Apparently 20th Century Fox printed up full color stock posters that they sent to Australian theaters, who would then overprint the center of the poster with the title of the movie and the stars. Note that this poster has lots of interesting images of camera men around the edges of the poster.

Condition: very good to fine. pairs of staple holes around the edges of the poster (some slightly enlarged or torn from rough removal); minor creases along the foldlines and around the edges of the poster
