If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Italian poster! Note that this was a World War II prisoner of war movie that was similar to The Great Escape, except that it was based on a real life escape in Japan. When the movie was re-released in Italy in 1960, the artist deceptively drew an image of a sexy woman with a Nazi officer, which in no way relates to the movie, and they switched the billing as well, so as to completely mislead viewers as to what they were about to see! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on many parts of some folds, with some smudges and stains scattered in parts of the poster, more so in the middle right, with paper loss in the right border in that area. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
