An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Frances Gifford was an actress from the 1930s to the 1950s. Some of her movies include: Thrill of a Romance, Jungle Girl, and Tarzan Triumphs with Johnny Weissmuller. She suffered severe head injuries in a 1947 car accident which greatly affected her career. As a result of her injuries, her physical and mental health declined and she was eventually admitted to a California mental hospital in 1958. After 20 years, she recovered and spent her final years in quiet obscurity, passing away in 1994 at the age of 73. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Frances Gifford! Note that this is one of many items that was consigned to us by legendary Tarzan collector Phil Petras. Mr. Petras was one of the greatest Tarzan fans ever, and he became good friends with several of the actors who played Tarzan, and over many decades, starting in the 1970s, he would meet with actors and actresses who had appeared in Tarzan movies, sometimes on the sets of films, and sometimes at fan gatherings. Prior to his recent passing, he consigned most of his collection to us, and we are currently auctioning many of his autographed items, sometimes from actors who played Tarzan or Jane, and sometimes from actors who appeared in one or more Tarzan movies (but the items we are auctioning may or may not be from their Tarzan films). Mr. Petras naturally did not have "certificates of authenticity", but we feel certain that the autograph on this item, and every other item we are currently auctioning from his collection, is surely authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
