A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 38" x 57" [97 x 145 cm]) (Learn More)

Ecole Simon-Siegel (literally translates to "Simon-Siegel School"), the 1945 French advertising poster promoting a school that specialized in teaching women gymnastics, dancing, sports, and how to deal with injuries arising from those activities. The school apparently also had a team that won the French Women's Handball Championship multiple times in the 1950s.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had many creases and scuffs scattered down the center of the image, with a lesser number in the left and right of the image and in the bottom credits area. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
