Phantom of the Opera, the 1943 Arthur Lubin Universal musical horror thriller ("The Screen's Classic of Terror!"; based on the classic novel by Gaston Leroux, and a remake of the silent classic featuring Lon Chaney Sr.) starring Nelson Eddy, Susanna Foster (as Christine), Claude Rains (in the title role as Erique Claudin, the Phantom of the Opera), Edgar Barrier (as Raoul), Leo Carrillo, Jane Farrar, J. Edward Bromberg, Fritz Feld, Hume Cronyn, and "a cast of thousands"!

Important Added Info: Note that some have a paper snipe on the back giving information about the scene on the front! Also note that the two stills with candid images of Lon Chaney, Jr., indicate on the snipe that he was visiting the set to wish Susanna Foster "good luck" (of course his father played the title role in 1925!).
