George Herman 'Babe' Ruth was a legendary professional sports baseball player from the 1910s to the 1930s, playing with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. Nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", he is perhaps one of the most famous baseball players to have played the game, having led the Red Sox and the Yankees to a total of seven World Series championships. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 only a year after his retirement! Ruth passed away in 1948 at the age of 53.

Condition: fair. There is much glue staining on the front and back of the news photo. The photo could certainly have restoration, or it could still be displayed and enjoyed as it is.
