Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds with tears and areas of paper loss scattered in the vertical foldline from 5" above the middle crossfold down the bottom of the poster, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but there is a small area in the left of Rogers' hat at top center where the poster is "lifting" from the linen (any restorer could re-glue that area without re-backing the poster).
