An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Night Watch, the 1928 Alexander Korda silent World War I (WWI) France Navy Naval romantic love triangle melodrama (about the captain of a French Navy vessel just before World War I, and he is having a party on his ship, and war is declared, and he tries to put all the civilians on shore, so he can join the other ships at war, but he discovers his wife has stayed in the stateroom of one of his officers, and he returns to let her off, but when he is court-martialed for incompetence because he hides what he knows about his wife, but then she comes forward and admits to her infidelity, which causes the charges against him to be dropped, and he forgives her) starring Billie Dove, Paul Lukas, Donald Reed, Nicholas Soussanin, and Nicholas Bela. Note that Paul Lukas is familiar to film buffs as a 1940s character actor, but he appeared in Hungarian movies between 1918 and 1924, and he moved to Hollywood in 1927, and this was one of his first Hollywood movies, where he played the romantic lead! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. There is darkening and a few stains around the edges. There is a 2" tear in the top border that was repaired with tape from the back.
