The Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Federal Railway/Railroad or DB) was formed as the state railway of the newly established Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) in 1949 as a successor of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft. The DB remained the state railway of West Germany until after German reunification, when it was merged with the former East German Deutsche Reichsbahn to form Deutsche Bahn AG in 1994

Important Added Info: Note that while women were featured on earlier DB posters, from 1962 onwards there was a policy behind them based on market research. The first Frauenplakatserie (Woman Poster Series) were three posters depicting fashionable ladies, designed by Atelier Strom-Heigl (Ernst Strom & Max Heigl).

Condition: very good to fine. The poster has never been folded and it is in excellent condition!
