An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Woman's Place, the 1921 Victor Fleming silent women's liberation political romantic comedy (based on the story by Anita Loos & John Emerson; a clever story of a woman in a midwestern city who runs for mayor, but her fiance supports the other candidate, who is his good friend; they break up over it, and she manages to make a speech that converts all the men in town to her side, but all the women vote against her, so she loses anyway; but her fiance convinces the new mayor to appoint all women to the open positions, which reunites the feuding couple) starring Constance Talmadge, Kenneth Harlan, Hassard Short, Florence Short, and Ina Rorke. Note that this movie (co-written by Anita Loos) was many decades ahead of its time, with its refuting of the old saying "a woman's place is in the home", and advocating that women could do just as well in politics and government as men!
