If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we previously auctioned two different French two-panel posters which had a different printer from this poster. Since there is also a one-panel poster that has the same printer as this poster, and which is believed to be from an early 1930s French re-release, we think it is therefore certain that this four-panel poster is also from that same 1930s re-release. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSTER WILL NEED TO BE SENT IN A TUBE THAT MEASURES AROUND 8 FEET LONG, AND THAT WILL BE QUITE AN ADDED EXPENSE IN THE U.S. AND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO SEND OUT OF THE U.S., IF WE CAN FIND A CARRIER THAT WILL TAKE IT. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND BEFORE BIDDING ON THIS POSTER. Note that we have never before auctioned this French four-panel poster, and it has a completely different image from that of the other size French posters! Finally, note that this is an extremely rare pre-World War II French poster! Virtually no French posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had tiny paper loss at just a few crossfolds and a very few creases, scuffs, and tiny tears on parts of some folds.
