Pollard silent England royalty romantic love triangle marriage comedy melodrama ("Declaration, Prevarication, Adoration, Meditation, Inspiration, Realization"; "Adapted from the novel 'Love Insurance' by Earl Derr Biggers"; "A thrilling, riotous dramatic farce"; about an impoverished English lord who is about to marry a rich American woman, and he takes out an insurance policy against the marriage "falling through"; the insurance agent sent to make certain the marriage takes place falls in love with the bride and he marries her, and happily pays off the policy!) starring Reginald Denny, Ruth Dwyer, Hayden Stevenson, May Wallace, John Steppling, and Tom McGuire. Note that the book this movie was based on was written by Earl Derr Biggers, far better remembered as the creator of Charlie Chan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one before and we have ONLY auctioned one herald for the film and no other movie paper whatsoever for it in all of our years of auctioning! Condition: fair. The poster has four areas of paper loss in the left and right borders, two are solely blank white paper. One only slightly goes into the writing and one enters the edge of the art (see our images). There is also staining and probably mold in the lower right of the poster that shows through to the front in Denny's credit. The poster is in urgent need of professional restoration, however, any talented restorer can remove the staining and mold from it and after proper linenbacking and restoration of the paper loss it would display wonderfully, but this would surely be expensive, so bear in mind the poster's many defects and the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
