The Triple Echo, the 1972 (released in the U.S. in 1973) Michael Apted English cross-dressing World War II (WWII) military melodrama ("Based on H.E. Bates' 'The Triple Echo'") starring Glenda Jackson, Oliver Reed ("as Sergeant"), Brian Deacon, Anthony May, and Gavin Richards. Note that this film received a limited release in the U.S. in 1973, and was later given a wider re-release in 1975 as Soldier In Skirts
