An Autographed Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Sammy Davis Jr. was a top black African American singer and actor from the 1930s through 1990 (he started as a child star, "Little Sammy Davis", and as a small boy he played the title role in "Rufus Jones for President" in 1933). From 1936 to 1939, he was a member of the "Will Mastin Trio", which consisted of Sammy Davis Jr., his father, Sammy Davis Sr., and Will Mastin, a beloved family friend (and all three men we buried next to each other!). Mr. Davis was called "The World's Greatest Entertainer", and his stage show included wonderful impersonations of top celebrities. In the 1960s, he was a member of "The Rat Pack", together with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Peter Lawford. Some of his movies include: Ocean's Eleven, Porgy and Bess, Robin and the 7 Hoods, and Convicts 4. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 64. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Sammy Davis Jr! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahoney Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
