What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the middle crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds, with small tears and tiny paper loss scattered down the vertical fold and a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds, with two tiny tears in the left half of the top horizontal fold, in Wayne's temple, but no other paper loss on that part of the fold. There was an irregular 5" tear in the top center of the poster going through the bottom of the "M" of "MESQUITEERS". There were pinholes around the edges (some enlarged). There was paper loss in the center of the bottom border that extended into the background below the "u" of "Republic", and there was paper loss in the bottom right corner that affected the tip of the black box, the registration mark, and the end of the litho number. There was some writing and stamps on the back of the top left of the poster that very slightly bled through to the front in Wayne's cheek. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was really expertly backed and restored by a talented professional, and displays fantastically!
