Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) For the Service, the 1936 Buck Jones cowboy western ("Story by Isadore Bernstein") starring Buck Jones (who also produced and directed the movie!), Fred Kohler, Beth Marion, Frank McGlynn Sr., Phillip Trent (billed as "Clifford Jones"), Ben Corbett, Edward Keane, Chief Thunderbird, Slim Whitaker, and Silver the horse. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The slide and holder are in about as good condition as can be expected (there is just slight aging to the holder).
