An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) On Trial, the 1917 James Young silent lawyer legal crime murder melodrama ("From the highly successful Cohan & Harris stage hit"; about a man who commits a murder and then confesses, but refuses to explain his actions on the witness stand; but when the other connected people are questioned, it comes out that the man he murdered had seduced his wife years earlier, and because of that, the jury finds him not guilty) starring Sydney Ainsworth, Mary McAllister (billed as "Little Mary McAlister"), Barbara Castleton, James Young, and Corene Uzzell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The black tape is missing from two borders. Otherwise, the slide is in nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
