Goulding silent romantic haunted house horror slapstick comedy (produced by Hal Roach; about a very nervous man who tries to commit suicide several times, and then he is hired by a lawyer to pretend to be someone else, and it requires that he spends time with a pretend girlfriend in a house, where someone is making it look like the house is haunted!) starring Harold Lloyd, Mildred Davis, Wally Howe, Sammy Brooks, William Gillespie, Ernest Morrison, and Blue Washington NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Montis Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this poster, 27 years ago and 28 years ago. Also note that this is an extremely rare pre-World War II French poster! Virtually no French posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II (mostly only pre-war heavy stock lobby cards, and even those are rare). Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! What IS linenbacking? The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some tears and small paper loss on parts of several folds, with some pinholes, tears, and paper loss in the borders.
