Selznick; about a young American boy who finds out he is the heir to an English title, and he is sent with his crusty old grandfather, but over time, they develop a loving relationship) starring Freddie Bartholomew (in the title role as Little Lord Fauntleroy; billed as "Star of 'David Copperfield'"), Dolores Costello (billed as "Dolores Costello Barrymore"), C. Aubrey Smith, Mickey Rooney, Guy Kibbee, Henry Stephenson, Jackie Searl, and Una O'Connor. Note that there were a number of movie adaptations based on this famous novel, and the best remembered one other than this version was the 1921 version where Mary Pickford played the title character, even though he was a boy! Important Added Info: Note that this movie was re-released in 1944 at the height of Mickey Rooney's popularity (for his MGM musicals and "Hardy Family" series), and he was given a prominent image in the advertising, with the tagline "The Film that made Mickey Rooney Famous to Millions!".
