She started in the late 1930s as a young teenager, and she had a big break in "Top of the Town" with George Murphy, when she was just 12 years old. In the early 1940s, MGM had massive success with their musicals starring Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, and Universal launched a similar series of musicals starring Peggy Ryan and Donald O'Connor! She passed away in 2004 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that it is extremely likely that this is a "key book" still, and it is virtually a certainty that the punch holes were put there by the studio at the time the still was created, so they are not a defect.
