Important Added Info: Note that this script is the composite script draft from July 21, 1958 and the screenplay was written by Ernest Lehman. Also note that the script has the working title "The Man on Lincoln's Nose" on the cover, but the movie ultimately was called "North by Northwest". Also note that there are many revision pages from 7/22/58, 7/28/58, and 8/8/58. Note that most of the revision pages are at the very end of the script, indicating that they were unhappy with the original ending, and apparently kept trying to improve on it (and the script is stamped "TEMPORARY COMPLETE" on the front, so one wonders how sure they were of their 8/8 ending!
