An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 29 1/4" x 39 1/4" [74 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Invest in the Victory Liberty Loan, the 1919 U.S. post-World War I (WWI) War Bond poster ("They kept the sea lanes open") encouraging citizens to purchase war bonds, and featuring Leon Alric Shafer art of U.S. warships (in dazzle camouflage) sailing past a sinking German submarine with a passenger ship in the background.

Artist: L.A. Shafer

Condition: good. The poster has some creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges (see our image). Most of the artwork is in pretty nice condition and certainly the poster could be restored and linenbacked and it would look great, but please bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration before placing a bid.
