Artist: Frank McCarthy Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned sixteen examples of this poster, but only three of them were unfolded, and only one of those was auctioned in the past seven years! The last one we auctioned that was unfolded sold for $1,705! Note that this "country of origin" British quad measures 31" x 41" [79 x 104 cm] and it says "Printed in England by Lonsdale & Bartholomew, Nottingham" in the lower right. In the past we have contacted English poster experts, and they tell us that British quad posters for this title were made in both a 30" x 40" and a 31" x 41" size and were printed on more than one kind of paper. We are certain the poster offered here is authentic, and the kind that measures 31" x 41". Finally, note that we refer to this as the "sideways" style (because Bond is sideways in the image!). There is also the "bathing" and "gyrocopter" styles, and we are currently auctioning each of those in separate auctions. Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has some minor creases around the edges (more so in the blank corners) and a few fine creases scattered in the art and title at left and in a few smaller portions of the image. There are two tiny tears in the upper left blank border. The few minor defects are not very noticeable when the poster is displayed at a reasonable viewing distance and overall it is in pretty nice condition and it displays quite well!
